Driving with kids

It's the tenth time that Danish Land-Rover Club (Region North Zealand) has invited children with chronic illnesses and their families to a day at the barracks in Høvelte. Children with cancer, muscular dystrophy, haemophilia children, children with heart conditions and other life-threatening conditions attended the event.

The children and their families could get a ride in a Land Rover or PMV’s (tanks). One hundred and twenty Land Rovers, two fire engines, two police cars, several tanks, an ambulance and a helicopter, clowns, ninjas, a hot dog stand, Ice cream and a lot of other things helped ensure the children were never bored. About 800 people attended the event.

We started the event in 2007 to arrange the day for children with cancer. This has over time expanded, so we can support all children with life-threatening diseases.
